Curious about hypnotherapy but feeling a bit hesitant?
It’s probably not what you expect.
No magic spells or feeling out of control—just a relaxed, conversational approach that helps you make changes from within, all while staying fully present and in charge.

but what about the sleepy stuff?
I don't bother with all that. No swinging watches or making you do anything weird.
Forget everything you’ve heard about hypnosis—especially what you may have seen on TV or stage shows. No, you won’t be “put under” like a spell, and you definitely won’t lose control of your thoughts. Hypnosis (the way I do it) is actually a collaborative process, where you remain fully awake, aware, and in control. It’s more about guiding your subconscious to create positive changes, all while you stay relaxed and engaged. So, if you’ve been hesitant because of those myths, let’s clear things up.
mythbusting
the hypnotist takes
control of your mind
It's not like a stage show—the volunteers are having fun but are always in control. Your mind won't accept a suggestion you don't like. Even my very suggestible friend won't cluck like a chicken, however hard I try. Boring!
You Lose Consciousness
or Get Amnesia
I don't do the kind of hypnosis that makes you all sleepy and zoned out. You'll be fully awake, aware and an active part of the process. Hypnotic amnesia is a real thing but, like any suggestion, you'd have to choose to accept it.
Hypnosis Makes You
give up your Secrets
You’re fully in control of what you say, so you don't have to worry about confessing to a crime or giving me your credit card PIN. You could even lie, refuse to answer a question or just tell me to mind my own business!
You can't be or have
never been hypnotised
Ever zoned out scrolling your phone, lost hours absorbed in a special interest, or caught yourself daydreaming? Hypnosis is a normal, natural thing your brain does all the time.
You could get stuck
in hypnosis forever
Impossible! If our Zoom link cut out during a session, you'd soon wonder why I'd stopped talking and open your eyes to see where I'd gone. At worst, you'd feel a bit annoyed.
hypnotherapy
doesn't work
It does, but there are a lot of different things that contribute to its success. That's why I start with a free consult to make sure we can work well together, and that your goals are realistic.
What if you could stay fully awake and still make powerful changes?
I understand how crucial it is to maintain control and predictability, especially for those of us who find comfort in structure. That’s why, in my sessions, you’ll stay fully awake, alert, and actively involved. No trances, no surprises—just a safe, comfortable space where you’re calling the shots.
We’ll work together in a way that respects your sensory profile and communication needs. This isn’t about me doing something to you; it’s about us collaborating, with you steering the course. You’ll always know what’s happening, and you’ll have the power to guide your own journey. Because at the end of the day, this process is all about you—and my job is to make sure you feel empowered every step of the way.
It's hypnosis, but with a twist.
Staying in control with
The CONTROL System.
The CONTROL System is designed to help you make positive, lasting changes by directly communicating with your subconscious mind, while staying fully alert. Imagine being able to pinpoint those mental blockages or limiting beliefs that have been holding you back—whether it’s anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, or a habit you just can’t shake—and then removing them, all while staying completely conscious and in control.
Why does this matter?
Because it puts you in the driver’s seat of your own healing journey. You’re not just passively sitting back and letting someone else tinker with your thoughts. You’re actively engaged, learning tools and techniques that you can use long after our sessions are over. It’s about empowerment—plain and simple. No trances, no drifting off—just you, fully awake, with your eyes wide open, actively participating in your own transformation.

Mindscaping: Redesign Your Inner Landscape.
Now, let’s talk about another approach I use—Mindscaping. If you’ve ever found it hard to put your struggles into words, or if the idea of diving deep into your issues feels a bit too intense, Mindscaping might be just what you’re looking for. It’s a bit like taking a creative stroll through your own mind, where you get to explore and reshape the landscape of your unconscious thoughts and feelings.
A Creative Approach to
Overcoming Your Challenges
Take a guided tour through your inner world
In a Mindscaping session, I’ll guide you into a gentle, meditative state—not a trance, just a relaxed, focused place. From there, we’ll work together to visualise a sort of map of your unconscious mind. This map isn’t just a metaphor—it’s a powerful tool that lets you see your challenges in a new light. By identifying and altering the symbols that represent your struggles—whether it’s stress, anxiety, or something else entirely—we can create real, lasting change. And the best part? You don’t have to share any details you’d rather keep private. It’s all about what feels right for you.
Change that resonates long after the session
What’s truly amazing about Mindscaping is how the changes you make continue to resonate long after the session ends. Clients often tell me that they keep noticing positive shifts for weeks or even months afterward. It’s a versatile, empowering approach that can help with everything from boosting self-confidence to breaking free from old, unhelpful patterns.

My approach is all about you. Your comfort, your pace, your needs.
I believe true healing happens when you’re in control, which is why I use methods that respect your boundaries and keep the process comfortable.
Whether we’re using the CONTROL System, Mindscaping, or both, you’ll never feel pushed into anything uncomfortable. It’s about creating a safe space for you to make changes on your terms.
